The Build
Crocs wanted to emulate a vintage-inspired Main Street shop space alcove similar to one seen at Disneyland. Elements included free-standing walls, three steps with a landing, and a doorway with three swappable doors.
Considerations
The set had to be designed in modular pieces so it could be transported through a standard-sized doorway and assembled on site.
The structure need to be secure enough to support human weight, yet mobile enough to be set-up and disassembled in less than an hour.
The concept required three unique character doors that could be swapped out within the same frame. Each door had custom cut window shapes, unique knobs, and individual details like wooden panels and a mail slot.
